A Message to Our Extraordinary Donors

At this time of great uncertainity, we want to say thank you to all of those who have supported IEA over the years.  It is at a moment like this that we realize how incredibly lucky IEA and those we serve are to have your support.  Because of your contributions to our program, IEA continues to ensure that students are learning, and growing, even during these unprecedented conditions.  IEA was required to close its building, however, we have not stopped helping the children, adolescents, and adults learn.  With the hard work and collaboration of our team members and parents, the learners of IEA continue to learn new skills via home instruction, virtual instruction, and parent support strategies.  And, the reports we have received from the parents indicate that many of the students have been incredibly successful under such different learning conditions.  This has been made possible by the efforts of our families, staff, and contributors.  Thank you for helping us be there for the IEA families.

Although IEA was planning on hosting our highly successful and fun Casino Night in June, we have decided to cancel the event, given the uncertain, and unprecedented, conditions surrounding us.  We will miss seeing you that evening, but we are certain that there will be many other exciting events that bring us together in the future.

All of us at IEA send our best wishes to you and your families during this time.  We hope you are all safe and healthy.  And, we are forever in your debt for ensuring the sustainability of our services during such unsual conditions.  Our students and families thank you from the bottom of their hearts.

THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT

COVID-19 has disrupted all of our lives in recent months, but it did not prevent us from holding our 25th Annual Golf Classic on Monday, October 5th at the Hackensack Golf Club. While we did have to make a few adjustments to ensure the safety and well-being of everyone, golfers were able to enjoy a beautiful early autumn day on the course, along with a socially distanced lunch and casual dinner. All in all, it was another great day for IEA!

Our sincerest thanks to everyone who participated in making this year’s event a success, including our golfers, corporate and individual sponsors, and those who donated items for our online auctions.  Your participation in the Annual Golf Classic helps IEA provide state-of-the art intervention to meet the needs of all of the individuals we serve, and empower them with the skills and tools needed to achieve their fullest potential.

We thank Tournament Chairs Chris Comey, Frank Lento, and Frank Salerno, and Committee Members Diane Lento, Maria Bushman, Joanne Novarro, and Joanne Salerno for their dedication and efforts to make this a wonderful day for IEA. Special thanks to the students from Holy Angels Academy who volunteered to help throughout the day; your assistance helped to make registration and our course games run smoothly. We also extend our gratitude to Norm Forsyth, and the entire Hackensack Golf Club staff, for coordinating another great event for all of our guests.

Leap Year gives us all one extra day, and we made the most of it!

IEA’s Magical Evening Dinner Dance on February 29that the Hackensack Golf Club was time well spent celebrating the accomplishments of all IEA learners. With the wonderful combination of fine food and spirits, Borgata Casino’s headlining comedian, magician, ventriloquist GEMINI’s entertaining show, and DJ Willie Wilson’s always perfect music selections, our guests experienced a night to remember!

We extend special gratitude to event chairs Holly Manuelian and Qian Wang, along with committee members Amy Appell, Don Bostonian, Xubin Lin, Peter McKeegan, Joanne Novarro, Tonia Polvere, and Ghalib Sultan for their commitment to ensuring a successful evening for IEA.  Our sincerest thanks go to Norm Forsyth, and the entire Hackensack Golf Club staff, for providing our guests with their care and attention to every detail, and  our heartfelt thanks to Diane and Frank Lento for sponsoring GEMINI.

Most of all, we thank you everyone who attended the event, supported our journal, and provided us with fantastic prizes for the auctions and raffles. Without you, our program for children, adolescents, and adults with autism would not be possible.  With your help, we are able to provide those we serve with the skills they need to lead productive and independent lives. Thank you one and all.

With the unbeatable combination of fine food and spirits, the excitement of watching the live running of the Derby, armchair racing for prizes, and the frenzy of activity surrounding our Live and Silent Auctions, this event qualifies as another big win across the board for the learners at IEA.

We extend special gratitude to event chairs Janet Arena and Deanna Censullo, along with committee members Susanne Bahdo, Anthony Crasto, Joe Gerbasi, and Alison Sharkey for their commitment to ensuring a successful evening for IEA.  Our sincerest thanks go to Norm Forsyth, and the entire Hackensack Golf Club staff, for providing our guests with a fabulous derby-themed buffet, and their care and attention to every detail.   Special thanks to Warren Schneider and the staff of Evention for facilitating the exciting arm chair races, and DJ Willie Wilson for going the extra mile for IEA.
