Erin Tobin - Allendale, NJ

A special note of thanks to local college student, Erin Tobin, who recently raised close to $7,000 for IEA by hosting an IEA Night at the Allendale Bar and Grill.  Erin’s charitable spirit, hard work, and enthusiasm are an inspiration to us all.  Our thanks as well to Mr. Chris Kunish, and the entire staff at Allendale Bar & Grill, for providing a venue and their generous donation in support of Erin’s efforts.

Special thanks to the Academy of the Holy Angels IEA Club

IEA is proud to be one of the organizations selected by the Academy of Holy Angels (AHA) as a benefactor of their service clubs.  Once a month, throughout the academic year, IEA teens travel to AHA’s Demarest campus to spend time with AHA/IEA Club members.  These monthly meetings provide IEA students a perfect opportunity to engage in peer social interactions and leisure activities.  IEA learners look forward to this monthly excursion to show off their skills in games such as Scattergories, Jenga, Outburst and Uno, or enjoy a friendly conversation while completing a jigsaw puzzle.

In turn, each spring IEA welcomes AHA/IEA Club members for an in-service community day at IEA’s facility. During this visit, AHA students receive a complete overview of IEA’s educational program, a tour of our facility, and the opportunity to participate on projects and activities with IEA students of all age.

Additionally, since 2005, as part of their group activities, the AHA/IEA Club has conducted a fundraising endeavor for the benefit of our program.  Thank you to the administration, staff and AHA/IEA Club members for their community outreach program and spirit of generosity.
